About Us > Katipatch Catchup > Issue 30
Hello ladies, Welcome to those of you who have recently joined our Catchup list. We enjoy people coming into the shop and telling us they are visiting from somewhere or other. It’s even better when they tell us they were told to visit by someone else who’s “found” us! Even if you live some distance from Katikati we are only as far away as your computer info@katipatch.co.nz or your phone (07) 549 4775. We aim to make your shopping for fabric or patchwork products easier, so be sure to keep us in mind if it’s something specific you require. From 1st July, all mail must include a Post Code. If you are wanting anything mailed out, you will need to let us know this. If you’re not sure what your post code is, you can find it here: http://www.nzpost.co.nz/Cultures/en-NZ/OnlineTools/PostCodeFinder/ What would best help you to organise your stash so that you don’t have to come back and do it again, and again…….? We have the answer! Our exclusive “Stash Labels” are self-adhesive and have a place to write the size and other details, so that you don’t have to measure each time you get it off the shelf. They come in packs of 20 and could save you a lot of time. We have set up a Bargain Bin with fabrics going out at $15/metre. These would be ideal for backing a quilt, or may be just the perfect fabric for your next project. Check them out next time you’re in the shop. Half metre or 1m cuts only. We have an extensive range of Kiwiana fabrics and are adding new ones all the time. At $20/m these are very good value. And it’s probably timely to remind you of our challenge “A Journey” using one of your choice of four selected Kiwiana fabrics to make a small article. Let us know if you would like us to resend you the rules. Be sure to let us know if you would like to register your interest in our beautiful new BOM “Love, Faith, Hope” by McKenna Ryan as mentioned in the last Catchup. This gorgeous quilt is being kitted in McKenna’s selected fabrics from the Glacier Lights range, and no substitute fabrics will be used. We will also be stocking some of the range to use for sashings and borders. We also plan to hold optional monthly progress gatherings for those taking part where discussion, various options and tips will be debated. Let us know if you would like to see the picture again, just to remind you. Classes coming up:
Friday Friends meet every Friday in our classroom to work on their own projects without the interruption of phones, housework or husbands! Join this group at your leisure for $10 per day, which includes as much tea and coffee as you need to consume to get through the day, and we’re here to help you with any little difficulties. Call us on 07 549 5900 or send us an e-mail info@katipatch.co.nz if you would like to join any of these workshops or more information. Also, please let us know if there is something you would particularly like to learn and we’ll see if we can arrange a tutor.
